MY.NeuTrans has NFP (Network Facility Provider) and NSP (Network Service Provider) licences issued by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC). It is dedicated to promote equitable and fair sharing of open access telecommunications infrastructure for all service providers.
MY.NeuTrans also provides consulting service on fiberisation for property developers, M&E consultants, government agencies and any other interested parties.
The Founder
MY.NeuTrans was founded in 2011 by Dr Mohamed bin Awang Lah, who has been involved in Internet activities in Malaysia for more than 30 years. He was the primary driver for Internet development in Malaysia while working in MIMOS with strong support from the government. The first service provider (JARING) was launched in 1992 and he was its Chief Executive Officer from 2002 until 2010. He was the first manager of .MY country domain (now managed by MYNIC Berhad) and led the establishment of NISER (now CyberSecurity Malaysia). The first ever long distance IP-over-Fibre network running at 2.5 Gbps was created under his leadership in 1999. He was the first Chairman of the Malaysia Internet Exchange (MyIX).
